Sophie the Cat needs a home

Beautiful Red, White and Blue calico Sophie! This girl came to us from a domestic abuse situation. Her mom had to leave the country in order to be safe and couldn't take her. She and 2 other kitty siblings came to get refuge here. Sophie was on guard and someone aggressive and if you came to fast at her she would slap you to back up.



We decided to have her paws xrayed, she was declawed, and low and behold, another botched declaw! Cats can become aggressive when declawed even if the procedure is not a botched job. Cats claws are such a part of their psyche! And they are amputations of the last knuckle not just removing the claws.



Sophie paws were repaired and she literally didn't want to walk on them for at least a week and then it was very gingerly. Sophie is unsure about people after coming out of the abuse situation and she has no claws Can you help this precious cat move on to a better life, we are sure she would be so grateful!
